Paul Boateng has occupied several senior Ministerial positions in the Labour government, including Deputy Home Secretary and Financial Secretary to the Treasury (2001- 2002). Paul Boateng is soon to retire as British High Commissioner to South Africa (2005-2009). Speaker: John Simpson CBE, World Affairs Editor to the BBC since 1988. John’s career has spanned forty years covering world events. John has been Journalist of the year, he has won three BAFTAs and an International EMMY award for his coverage of the fall of Kabul, and he has interviewed Robert Mugabe on a number of occasions. There will be a presentation of ZANE’s work by ZANE staff from Zimbabwe. Tickets: £55.00 each.
